Anton Belov

 

Russian Diction & Translation

Dr. Anton Belov is an active performer, teacher and scholar. His Libretti of Russian Operas (Leyerle Publications, 2004) has become a standard text utilized by opera companies and teaching institutions around the world. He earned praise from critics and audiences alike for his portrayals of Count di Luna (Il Trovatore), Germont (La Traviata), Escamillo (Carmen), Eugene Onegin, Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Don Giovanni and Count Almaviva. Anton is the first-place winner the George London Competition, Licia Albanese—Puccini Foundation International Competition, and Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (Eastern Region).   As the winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Mr. Belov has appeared in over forty recitals throughout the United States. A native of Moscow, Anton Belov holds degrees from The New England Conservatory, The Juilliard School and Boston University. He lives in Oregon where he is an Assistant Professor of Music at Linfield College.
